Cellular and honeycomb shades in Welland
Cellular shades, also called honeycomb shades, are the energy saver of the window covering world and a smart choice for Welland winters. The honeycomb cells trap a layer of air against the glass, which keeps heat in during January and out in July. We offer single and double cell, light filtering and blackout fabrics, and top-down bottom-up operation that gives you privacy at eye level while daylight comes in above.

Cellular Shades for Welland homes
Welland has new subdivisions near the canal and older homes being renovated by buyers priced out of the GTA. For cellular shades in Welland, that usually means single or double cell for more insulation, light filtering or blackout fabrics, and a fit we guarantee because we measured it. Welland is an area we schedule regular install days for. Newer communities such as Hunters Pointe, Dain City tend to come with standard builder windows and nothing on them at closing, which is where a whole-house package makes the most sense.

Blinds for new homes in WellandQuestions about cellular shades in Welland
Do cellular shades really lower heating bills in Welland?
They help. A double-cell shade adds a meaningful layer of insulation against the glass, which matters most on older windows and large north-facing panes common in Welland homes.
Are cellular shades good for a nursery?
Yes. Blackout cellular shades are one of our most common nursery and bedroom installs. They are cordless by default, quiet, and block light fully when paired with an outside mount.
What is top-down bottom-up?
The shade can lower from the top as well as raise from the bottom, so you can cover the lower half of a window for privacy while leaving the top open for light. Popular for street-facing windows in Welland.
How much do cellular shades cost in Welland?
Cellular shades start around $119 per window for standard sizes, before promotions. Double cell and blackout fabrics cost a little more. Exact pricing comes with the written quote.
What our clients say
"We had the zebra shades done in the living room and kitchen and the difference in the afternoon is unreal. No more squinting at the TV."
"I work nights and the blackout rollers in the bedroom actually work. I sleep in the day now. Should have done this years ago."
"The shutters are gorgeous and they measured perfectly. Our older windows are out of square and they still sit flush."
